About The Solihull Society of Arts Drama Section
Of course there is so much more to putting on a play than casting a show because Publicity, Back stage, Sound, Lighting, Scenery, Properties, Costumes , Front of House and a host of unseen jobs are equally important. We enjoy our social evenings and quiz nights as much as simply having a comfortable place to sit and chat with a coffee or tea during rehearsals. We enjoy the luxury of performing shows at our own theatre called The Gantry.

The gantry theatre can be used as either a flexible theatre, a performance workshop or a Lecture/conference hall. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art stage lighting, remote controlled sound stage, projection facilities and has a staging "Q-Build". The gantry theatre also has a raised level/walkway for the production team to work.
